We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Landscape Designer to join our Toronto team immediately.
Position Overview:
The Landscape Designer is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of innovative and sustainable landscape solutions while assisting in project development and execution. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of landscape architecture, including design, technical documentation, and construction administration. Under the guidance of senior staff, the Landscape Designer contributes to shaping the built environment through creative problem-solving and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of landscape architecture, including design, technical documentation, and construction administration. Under the guidance of senior staff, the Landscape Designer contributes to shaping the built environment through creative problem-solving and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
What you will be doing:
Design and Project Support
- Assist in the design and development of landscape architecture projects, including urban spaces, public parks, waterfronts, and commercial developments.
- Support the creation of design concepts, site plans, and technical drawings that balance aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.
- Prepare 3D models, renderings, and graphic presentations to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Conduct site analysis, including reviewing site conditions, identifying constraints, and assessing opportunities for design solutions.
- Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including grading plans, planting plans, irrigation layouts, and hardscape details.
- Support the construction administration process by participating in site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with on-site problem-solving.
- Research materials, products, and best practices to ensure high-quality and sustainable design solutions.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Work closely with senior landscape architects, architects, engineers, and planners to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and client presentations.
- Actively seek learning opportunities to expand technical and design knowledge.
- Receive mentorship from senior team members and contribute fresh perspectives to projects.
- Assist with ad hoc requests.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
- 3+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
- Proficiency in design software such as Vectorworks or AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Lumion, and/or SketchUp.
- Strong understanding of site planning, grading, planting design, and sustainable landscape practices.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical drawings, 3D visualizations, and presentation materials.
- Familiarity with GIS and other data-driven tools is an asset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and collaborative attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
