We are seeking Landscape Architects at all levels, from Intermediate to Senior to join our Johor Bahru, Malaysia studio immediately. This role is integral to supporting the continued growth of our global design practice. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across our international studios on a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from parks and public realm spaces to mixed-use developments, waterfronts, master plans, and large-scale urban environments.

Position Overview:
This is a full-time, onsite position based at LANDinc's Johor Bahru, Malaysia studio. As a Landscape Architect, you will play an integral role in delivering innovative landscape architecture, urban design, and master planning projects across Asia, the Middle East, and North America. Depending on your level of experience, you will contribute to all phases of project delivery, from concept design through detailed construction documentation, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across LANDinc's global studios.
Intermediate / Senior Landscape Architects will work closely with Senior / Management staff to develop their technical and design skills. You will take ownership of project packages and coordinate with consultants and clients.
This position is based onsite in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Working hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Singapore/Malaysia Time), with occasional flexibility required to coordinate with colleagues and clients across LANDinc's international offices.
Salary range:
Intermediate level RM 4,400 - RM 5,000 per month (MYR)
Senior level: RM 6,000 - RM 7,500 per month (MYR)

What you will be doing:
Under the overall direction of Director / Associate:
- Coordinate project design and delivery across all phases, translating the project brief into creative, practical, and technically sound landscape solutions.
- Develop and oversee concept proposals, design presentations, detailed drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
- Plan and allocate work within the project team, monitoring progress against agreed scope, deliverables, and schedules.
- Review drawings and documentation to ensure design consistency, technical accuracy, multidisciplinary coordination, and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Present and communicate design intent clearly to clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Serve as a key project contact, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve design and technical matters.
- Lead and participate in project, technical, and consultant coordination meetings, ensuring decisions and follow-up actions are clearly communicated.
- Provide construction-stage support, including reviewing relevant submissions, responding to technical queries, and attending site inspections as required.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor Landscape Architects and Technicians, supporting their design development, technical skills, and professional growth.
- Identify project risks, resource needs, and changes in scope, and work with studio leadership to address them promptly.
- Collaborate across LANDinc’s global studios and contribute to improvements in design quality, documentation standards, and project delivery.
Intermediate Landscape Architect
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
- 3–5 years of professional experience.
- Strong design and technical documentation experience across multiple project phases.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks and/or AutoCAD, with experience using Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, and visualization software.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage project tasks independently while mentoring junior staff.
- Eligibility for professional registration is considered an asset.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated experience leading projects and supervising project teams.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design ability and successful project delivery across multiple phases.
- Strong technical knowledge of landscape design, detailing, materials, and planting design.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks and/or AutoCAD, with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, and visualization software. Experience with Revit and BIM workflows is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage project deliverables, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, and maintain quality within agreed schedules.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound professional judgment, and lead and mentor a team.
- Experience working on international projects and collaborating across offices is an advantage.
- Professional registration or eligibility for registration is considered an asset.
